Natural, Golden Hour styled shoot / Kentucky Editorial Photographer

The idea for this shoot was born when brainstorming with my assistant and associate Mark, and we immediately knew golden hour was a key factor.

I knew where to go for the charcuterie board (I am the least domesticated woman you can imagine) and that was the one and only, Shellie Hughes. I told her my vision, and she knew exactly what to create. Natural and picnic style.

We picked their outfits together and unfortunately the original plan for Kennedy didn’t work, but then she gave me this option and it was somehow better than what we had originally planned.

My goal with this shoot was to focus on how liberating and delicate, femininity is. It’s romantic and beautiful and something that should be celebrated.
