Kentucky Wedding Photographers / Wedding at The Barn at Goose Creek / Chelsea + Josh

Last Saturday was a day we’ll never forget. It was Chelsea and Josh’s wedding day. Something I have waited for the moment I first found out Josh asked Chelsea to be his girlfriend with the roses to his bathroom mirror that said check yes or no. It was a beautiful day at The Barn at Goose Creek, it was just cloudy enough to give us a breeze. The girls were getting ready in the loft of the barn while the guys were tucked away in the grooms quarters. Brandi, Chelsea and Josh’s dog, pranced around in her little flower girls dress. She was the second star of the show, everyone loved her! But not as much as Chelsea’s bridesmaids loved her when they opened the barn doors and saw her for the first time, ready to walk down the aisle. Chelsea’s bridesmaids were the best, they were there for whatever she needed, including dress fluffing during the ceremony and photos.

Chelsea and Josh opted for a first look. I am so happy that they did for two reasons. 1. They were able to play a prank on a Josh at the “first” first look. One of his groomsmen, put on a wedding dress, tapped on his shoulder and Josh was definitely surprised! All of the bridesmaids watched from behind the front doors, it was so fun! The real first look was much more emotional. Chelsea and Josh both cried at the first sight of each other. It was so romantic. Josh embraced her for the tightest hug.

Another emotional part of the day was the different memorial dedications there were for Chelsea’s late father. The bridesmaids, as well as Chelsea, each carried a single rose, and put it in a mug that said, “Dad” coming down the aisle. They had a cross decorated with flowers in memory of him. They planned to take the flowers to his gravesite once the wedding was over. Finally, they released butterfly balloons into the night sky in honor of him. How beautiful. I can’t believe we got to be apart of such beautiful moments. Chelsea was such a gorgeous bride. I know her dad would have been so proud of all she has accomplished the last few years.

I hope you all enjoy this preview of their beautiful wedding day. Chelsea and Josh, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love <3
