Wedding at The Barn at Cordell Crossing Burnside, Kentucky / Mckenzie + Austin / Wedding Giveaway Winner

Each year I giveaway a wedding to a couple crazy in love and with the bravest love story. 2018's wedding giveaway winner was Austin + Mckenzie. I have been looking forward to this day since the day they won and I know they were looking forward to it as well. I had the privilege to do their family photos and not long after, their engagement photos. I will share a teensy bit of their story that she sent to me.

I won't share their whole story because they may just want to keep that for them, but I will tell you that one of the reasons their love story was so inspiring to me is because of how much this couple has been through and came through together. It's such a beautiful thing when relationships flourish out of hardships and become stronger than they ever imagined.

"Me and Austin started dating in 2012. Before we were a couple, we were the best of friends. In 2014, god blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. Of course being a senior in high school, I was scared to death and had no idea how to be a mom!"

Let me tell you guys personally, Mckenzie is the BEST mom and Kendall is the most beautiful little girl with the biggest personality. Kendall, poor baby, ended up being sick on their wedding day after being so excited to be their flower girl. She toughed it out and dropped those flower pedals like nobody's business ;)

"On Mother's Day, Austin wanted to take the whole family fishing at my brothers house. ( I didn't think anything of it because this is something we do often.) When we pulled into the driveway, mine and his whole family was standing outside waiting on us. When we got out of the car, Austin and Kendall got down on one knee and Kendall asked me if I would marry her daddy. After 5 LONG years of waiting, I finally get to be a bride!"

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet these sweet people, their wonderful families, and their closest friends. There is nothing I love more than seeing two people in love, being celebrated the way they should be. Relationships take work, and those who are worthy of the love they receive, will do what it takes to make it happen.
